A house in the clouds

A house in the clouds: A short story by R.M.Duchene

Date Finished: 18/11/12

Pages: 21

Currently free on Amazon UK

I heard about this ebook on goodreads, and it looked like it could do with some reviews. With it being really short I thought I would give it a go whilst cooking sunday dinner ūüôā

It took me less than 15 mins to read, if that.

Full of love, loss and decisions from start to finish, I enjoyed this fast read.

The ending could be improved slightly so that it is made a bit more thought provoking/meaningful because to be honest I did infact giggle at the end.

However I did think the ending was a good concept, I just think it could have been described better.

Overall I give this coffee break ebook…

Bah, Humbug!

Bah, Humbug! by Heather Horrocks

Date Finished: 18/8/12

It is described as a romantic comedy novella and as the title suggests it is centered around Christmas. Yes I know its not christmas yet but¬†I couldn’t give up the opportunity to read this short free ebook with its cute cover. As this book is short I will not include spoilers in my review. However I will mention that it is about two people who thought they would not find love again and I do not want to say anymore than that as the characters themselves are so likeable that you will just have to read it yourself! I loved the tale of this romance and adored the adorable main characters. Heather Horrocks writes well – I have read a few rubbish and and boring chick lits in my time, but this wasn’t one of them.

The Stolen Child

The Stolen Child by Brian McGilloway

Date Finished: 18/8/12

Read in under 30mins

A very short read but it captivated me as a reader throughout and the fact that it was free to download from amazon was a bonus! Sometimes I have found short reads to be rushed especially towards the end, but this ebook with its twists and turns kept me readng. I do feel the story would do great if extended further and made into a book or even novella.

Ginger gives 5 stars to this fab read!
